Statistics as a Platform in Education for Sustainable Development

Statistics is the study of the collection, organization, and interpretation of data.[1][2] It deals with all aspects of this, including the planning of data collection in terms of the design of surveys and experiments.[1]

With all the things happening in the universe, the different issues, problems, and calamities, Remember that Statistics has a part on it. Through statistics, we're able to know how much damage do we contribute to our environment. We are the one who causes a lot of problems and troubles to our Mother nature and we can't deny it, can we?

I guess these are happening because of own negligence to do our tasks & responsibilities for our environment/society and negligence to care with what God has given us.We throw garbage here, there and anywhere, cut trees and so many abuses we do to our Mother Earth. That's why we experienced Global Warming:

Below is the statistics on how greatly Global Warming affect us.

          New Alarming global warming statistics

According to NASA, the hottest year on record was 2005, which matched 1998. Twice in the last ten years, we've had the hottest temperatures on average ever recorded in our planet's history. That is very likely more than just a coincidence.

In fact, the past nine years have all been among the 25 warmest years on record, a streak which is unprecedented in the historical record. For that to happen, it's likely there has to be an underlying factor, and that factor seems to be global warming. Click the link above to read whole details.

With the things we did and continue doing to our environment. What do we expect to happen? Maybe guys, its time now to do our part before everything will become too late. All must take part for us to change the world for the better. And Education has a vital role in helping and developing a better society for everyone. Education is an essential tool for achieving sustainability. It's good that each one is aware of what's happening around us and do little things to help. Not only in prayers but more on actions. Learn to re-use, recycle, repair and plant more trees. CARE and ACT! Start it now guys! We can make it if we'll work hand in hand.
