Module 1 Introduction to Educational Statistics
June 10, 2011, first day of school and oh my gosh! my first subject this sem is statistics. I remember my college days that i score poorly in that subject with Sir Bulao but I know I can do better this time. My professor is Mrs. Ava Clare Marie O. Robles,Ph. D. She introduced and discussed to us first what Statistics is all about and through her discussions on the definition, function, uses, and its importance , I found out and realized that Statistics is very essential and been a part of our daily lives. Would you believe? Yes, it's true, in everything we do, Statistics is there. A concrete example is in our home, we gathered a plastic of garbage or waste daily, just imagine how much wastes do we have per homes
Module 2 Variables: Subject Matter of Statistics and Research
Learning variables is quite interesting. I learned so much from here. I was able to differentiate and determined now what is nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio and vise versa and I able to see that life and things must be put in order.
Module 3 Integration of innovation in Statistics
I'm so happy that our professor introduced to us this blogging technology although at first i found it hard. A million of thanks to her for she always challenged me to learn more and explore things better especially with regards to the new innovations in technology.
Module 4 Measure of Central Location
Solving manually for the mean, median and mode from the grouped and ungrouped data are the first things I've leaned in this module. I'm so glad too that our professor taught us to compute data on excel which help our tasks easier and faster.Module 5 Measures of Variation
This is the module where I found out difficult. My head is aching. I'm so stressed especially I'm poor in numbers. But that's not a hindrance. I try to exert more effort in reading, studying. I need to be serious with these.
Module 6 Measures of Correlation
We discussed the degree of relationship of one variable with another variable.
Module 7 The Normal Probability Distribution
From this module, I was able to learn the characteristics of the normal curve. I learned also that the median is always at the center of the plotted data.
Module 8 Sampling Theories and Hypothesis Testing
To get the correct result/s in you research study, you should start doing the right thing starting from selecting a sample.
Module 9 The T-Test, Z-Test, and Chi-Square Test
I'm doing my Blog!
Module 10 Analysis of Variance
Next Episode!
Module 11 Linear and Multiple Regression Analysis
Coming SOON!
Module 12 Computer Statistical Applications
Coming This July!
